Ok, so Star Wars is going on tour – A CONCERT TOUR, that is.  It is the wonderful music of John Williams with scenes of Star Wars playing on the screen.  Also, they will have film props and other cool things.  I think this is the coolest and geekiest thing I’ve ever seen.  What a great tribute to the amazing film composer John Williams.  I’d totally go, but so far no east coast tour dates.  Would you go or do you think this is ridiculous?

First of all, some awesome new features! I wanted you to know to know some of the latest news.  First of all, many of you have asked why piano lesson 1.5 hasn’t come out yet.  Well in the past two years, I have moved across the country from Idaho to South Carolina, taken a new job and have had two children.  That pretty much explains it.  Getting any quiet time is hard to come by for video recording, but I finally have a system down to get some more great videos out to you.  In addition to the Learning the Piano series, I have started a new series called Piano Request where I will be showing you how to play requested piano songs as simply as possible.  This first episode seen below was requested by Jim from New Hampshire – ‘Feeling Alright’ by Joe Cocker.  To request your own song, login as a free member on ilearnmusic.com and click ‘Request a Piano Song’ from the member menu.

This is absolutely the coolest digital/hybrid grand piano I’ve ever seen.  How many of you would want one of these?  I don’t have $20,000 sitting around, but if there are any anonymous millionaires out there who want to do a poor musician a favor, send me an e-mail.

Here is an incredible jazz duel recorded between Wynton Marsalis and Wycliffe Gordon between their hotel windows. If you are a jazz fan, you will absolutely love this!

This is the most hilarious video I have ever seen.  This guy from Japan has discovered how to make working instruments out of vegatables.  I would like to see someone turn this into a project for fourth graders.  Instead of recorders, wouldn’t it be hilarious to see vegtables?  Enjoy this rendition of Angels We Have Heard on High:
