I wish my parents had put me in to music lessons. They've know ever since I was young I had a burning desire for music.
Nowadays I'm actually a home producer/DJ/emcee but lack the skill to actually play an instrument.

My daughter has taken piano lessons since 1st grade. Interestingly enough, all of the "white" kids who started w/ her have all quit. The only kids her age at the studio are Asian. I asked her teacher why this is so. She said that the white kids whine and complain when it gets hard...and their parents allow them to quit. In the Asian community, mastering an instrument is expected, no ifs, ands or buts. Could this also be a factor in why Asian kids do so much better in math?
