Beginning Guitar

This week I have been teaching a beginner guitar camp and had a bit of a revelation when teaching chords. Since it is difficult to teach to switch positions quickly when you are first starting out with chords, have one half of the your class be the ‘E chords’ and the other half be the ‘A chords’. This allows for them to feel successful and not get quickly frustrated in switching position. Have them switch and then make the next level of difficulty to have both sides play both chords. By using this approach, they will probably feel more successful earlier on and not get overwhelmed. Just my thought of the day. I would love to hear yours
